About Kindy Boxes

Kindy Boxes is the name of a Rotary Club of Richmond project. It is also the name given to the different sets of resources we are providing the Timor Leste kindergarten teachers.

Currently we are planning FOUR distinct sets of resources for 2008-2009, each in its own 'Kindy Box'.

The cost of Kindy Box Sponsorship is either $50 or $100.
The gap between sponsorship and actual cost is met by donations and fundraising.

Kindy Box B

The contents of Kindy Box B are being manufactured in Dili, and then packed into a storage box for distribution.
Kindy Box B is valued at approximately $300.

Kindy Box B contains wooden educational resources. Sr Aurora trains the teachers in the many educational aspects of these resources.

Many of these resources were originally made for distribution in Timor Leste within a Mary MacKillop project. The Rotary Club of Richmond has now taken over this project and is working in partnership with the Don Bosco Technical Training Centre, Comoro, a school of the Salesian order. Mary MacKillop have kindly donated their woodworking tools and plans to the project.

The Kindy Box Project will be purchasing the wooden resources at retail price from the Don Bosco Woodworking Production Unit.

Kindy Box B contains:
